In 2009 Death Audio has created an international impact on the World Wide Web that is forever demanding the band for more music and publicity in general. Taking a break for a few months in 2009 has given Death Audio the time to reflect on new music and marketing strategies. In spring/summer of 2009 Death Audio will be releasing a new single that has been described as a song so different in the Australian Metal Scene it would break barriers and make an impact on the sound of Australian melodic metal. The release of "Place the Blame" in October 2009 with a brand new line up surely gave Death Audio an imprint on Australian Metal history.
DEATH AUDIO -- Which is definitely not a reference to dying by falling speakers but having a love for music to Death. This sums up the band completely. Being such a diverse group of individuals, now consisting of Josh, Jaymz, Will, Fabian and Karl. Death Audio's sound has elements of sheer ball tearing aggression, clean melodic harmonies to good old soloing and can be likened to such bands as: Killswitch Engage, Soilwork , As I lay Dying and Mnemic. Recently winning the "best new band" at the Australian Metal Awards 2009, and main support for Static X, Unearth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Hell Yeah and Soilwork in Melbourne. Also being the only Melbourne band to join the memorial line up at Soundwave Festival 2010. Death Audio is preparing an album that will change the course of their lives.
PLACE THE BLAME REVIEWS:
"Monster production, walls of riffs and an attitude that makes its intentions very clear -- The band are from Melbourne but have a truly international sound and could work well anywhere and everywhere"-Chris Maric (Riot Entertainment)
"So, fast forward 12 months add a couple of lineup changes and enough time has since passed for Death Audio to bond tighter both musically and personally and Place The Blame is a brilliant result of their hard work, constant gigging, touring and living in each others' pockets." -Steve Weirdo
"Death Audio's "Place the Blame" is like the offspring of Five Finger Death Punch and Killswitch Engage after a night of dirty sex... a killer balance of brutality and melody." - Krank Amps
"Death Audio's "Place the Blame" is just what I've been looking for, heavy enough to drive me to molesting nuns, melodic enough to make me want to spoon with them after, provided their nun bed isn't full of nun crap. You know, from all the sodomy."-Jared Hasselhoff (Evil Jared/Bloodhound Gang)
"Place the blame is heavy as fuck. Shredding guitars and a massive sound make this one of the best songs by an Aussie metal group all year."-Michael Rowe (President of Guitar Tech division, Musiclink)
"This track has an element which would appeal to the masses. They would suit a support spot with Killswitch Engage. This would then give them the opportunity to prove themselves. This particular song has a good variety of vocals and the pace overall is excellent. The band has obviously put a lot of thought into the musical structure. A track I would love to hear live as I think it would be a killer!"-Dea (Mystic Metal)
