  • The toccata sounds awesome on an organ

  • This is recorded at the nave-console of the old Gonzales-organ of St. Eustache.

  • Guillou was always a fan of "in your face" organ voicing and the new organ is no exception. I do appreciate his playing and improvising though.

  • I just love the organ used at 3:19, the console style is just so intriguing. I would love to play this organ.

  • It's a shame the recording is so bad... because of the acoustic, the sound isn't precise at all.

  • Great!! I love the Prokofiev at most !!

Can you send me on that one ?

    Greetings

  • Oh the poor console at Notre Dame....IBM really took a blow there, something like $2mil they invested in the development. From what I hear it is finally completely functional though (the voice recognition and all that jazz) after how many years I forget haha

  • Thank you for answering. When was this organ replaced? As far as I know the new hollandese organ is there for about 20 years. What happened to the old Gonzales organ? Anyway It is so good to seen him young. I've never met him in real life, but he is so extreme, I like him pretty much:-))
