  • Can you send my an explaination how you made your tiny cell (wath type of glue you use , how you assemble it , How you cut he acrylic sheet ...) Because I attemp to make one but it was very ugly.

    Thank you very much

  • @plante1999 Acrylic sheet is usually cut with a precision table saw that is equipped with a hollow-ground, carbide-tipped, 10-inch diameter blade. Since I don't have one anymore, I use a bandsaw with a fine-pitched blade (15 teeth per inch). You can use a hacksaw if you have to, but it will heat up and cause the plastic to melt, which will cause the blade to jam. Pause frequently to allow the hacksaw blade to cool or use water cooling. The usual cement is dichloromethane (methylene chloride).

  • @plante1999 Part 2 of acrylic. The dichloromethane can be fortified with glacial acetic acid for more penetrating power, if desired (1 part in 5, as I recall). Might be easier to buy some thickened acrylic cement at a local plastic distributor. Drill bits and circular saws require that attention be paid to the rake angle. Bad things can happen if you use the wrong tools or procedures. There is plenty of info on the net - please don't ignore it.

  • Your electrolisis cell video are good , you should make more video about them.

  • @plante1999 Thank you for your comment regarding the electrolytic cell videos. Yes, I do plan to make more when the weather is cooler.
