@hermankatnip I know, I don't want it to be watered down for American audiences. I live in America, although I watch so much British tv that I might as well be living in Britain.
You know they'll have two different versions? One for the U.K., and one for the U.S.
I think the U.K. version will have more of the violent bits cut out, and the U.S. version will have the Torchwood cut out.

part of me feels sorry that Torchwoods welsh identity will be lost from the new series of Torchwood by filming it the USA. Also using American writers is worrying me as this is a distinctly British show with a strong welsh flavour. I say this as an Englishman who loves cardiff and its people

In America they where going to make jack straight to lower Down the age rating so it would be a 12 but I'm glad they didn't caz then he wouldn't be with ianto xxx

Yes we do have Doctor Who in America, and it is equally amazing! I love this show and I am glad that we live in a global economy where things like this can be shared across country borders. BBC America is owned and operated by the BBC corporation. This show is only in America because BBC allows its American syndicate to show them. Also, without copyright laws et al, shows may not be able to be shared so easily amongst corporations.
