Nice to see a relaxed gait with more extension to the stride. Even in the corto/largo classes I've seen, the horses still look all collected with extremely fast footfall. And it was riding one of these horses trained for the show ring turned me off the breed for a while. Yeah, you don't bounce, but instead you're vibrated to death! It wasn't until I rode a paso fino that had been trained on a loose rein specifically for trail riding that I realized just how wonderfully smooth their gaits can be.
