Front scraper drops it's bowl and fills up with the help of the second scraper pushing. When full the front scraper helps pulls the second one until it is loaded before unhooking.

  • I havnt operate a scraper forover 12 years, been on digger, graders and dozers. But Iv heeded to the calling for a few weeks, operating 627s,I can let my hair down...try and do all the crazy things Iv seen over the last few years LOL.

  • Those scrapers should drop the bowl on the way back and maintain their own damn haul road!

  • The company I used to work for here in Phx had a fleet of 20+ 57's and we used to use these for building sub divisions out here damn efficient way to move dirt... well til the bottom fell outta the housing market that is... then we used'em for everything from what little housing jobs we got to heavy highway.... Don't get me wrong dozers are good at what they do but leave the dozers on the steep slopes and in tight corners.... leave the big dirt to the scrapers

  • Scapers haul ,dozers push.Fill them, move the dirt.using a dozer to push saves less time in the cut.Dump come back.Time hauling dirt not scraping dirt makes money.

  • perfect place to quad

  • Inefficiency is the word, all of the wasted hours on a piece of equipment that could be full of dirt! That is exactly why dozers are used for this function. Scrapers need to constantly have dirt in their craw. That dozer in the background needs to help with the "hogging" not maintaining the roads, rookies. If you have any questions, I have a bit of experience in this field. Inquire at "Coal Miner's Family" on Youtube. Curtis Farrell

  • their boss is gonna love them when they break the bail turning that corner like that lol

  • The 657's are impressive scrapers but they pale in comparison to Caterpillar's 666B scrapers, widely regarded as the best scrapers ever made. Sadly, Caterpillar discontinued the 666B in 1979 but a few still exist in running condition. Perhaps Caterpillar will see fit to restore some 666B's to like new condition and display them in museums or even reuse them on construction sites and mines. I would love to see videos of Caterpillar 666B scrapers in action.

  • fuck we push pull 6 long around corners all day long in sand. just gotta know how to do it right and nothing is even at risk of being broken.
