A Maasai woman from the Rift Valley of Kenya, gives her message on climate chaos:
'Talk will not save my people, only action will.'
Four years of severe drought has brought disaster for the Maasai -- who herd cattle as a way of life. These are people used to living from harsh and arid land, and even with drought, but as the pattern of climate shifts their lands and herds can no longer recover from the bad times.
The woman, Sharon Looremeta, will address a potential audience of 2 billion people when she addresses the Live Earth concert audiences on 7.7.07.
I Count is proud to be the UK NGO partner of Live Earth UK. Its message is simple: You are irresistible. We are irresistible. With small steps we can do almost anything.
