Given you have the correct 'idle PC' value set properly in Dynamips/GNS3, running multiple routers isn't really a hard task to achieve.

Please see the attached video showing you how you can run 100+ routers on GNS3 AND not using much resources.

    You just need to install 'Konsole' in Ubuntu, then choose 'Konsole' to be your terminal application from GNS3 setting. There is nothing else you have to do.

    Not necessarily. Just choose a random number and see if the CPU utilisation drops. Bring 4 routers into GNS3, start them, wait for about 20 seconds, then choose the Idle PC value randomly until you choose the value which drops the utilisation into a reasonable level. I uploaded few videos which highlight how to do that.

    No not really. You need to rely entirely on an estimated-guess that Dynamips does in the background, similar to what's shown in the video!
