I have been to the "Jam at the Dam" twice and the Melkweg venue. It is extremely intimate to the point of maybe - and just guessing, 2000k tops. When I was there- and Dark Star Orchestra was on the stage, though never replaceable, you could almost transport yourself. It is all GA. I choose the balcony- just because I was bit TOO influenced by the local stuff. I can't imagine what this was like in '81~
PS. DSO Smoked there!!! Lots of foreigners and lots of locals- made a great vibe.
Nice version...but it honestly has a freaking garage band feel...like you can tell the quality sound of their instruments isn't there
