Located at the tip of the Kenai Peninsula, Kachemak Bay has been identified as one of the world's most productive marine environments. The bay's extreme tidal fluctuations -- rising as much as 28 feet in 6 hours -- are thought to account for this productivity. The tremendous marine diversity proves a strong attraction.
