Illegal Adrenaline: Drag Racers Rev Up Tension in NW Dallas

Each Tuesday and Thursday night, hundreds of young people from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex gather at a gas station on Royal Lane.

From the gas station, they head out to any one of several spots to participate and watch illegal street races.

This video from the Al Dia newspaper in Dallas shows that the underground scene has created a cat-and-mouse game between police in racers.

Despite arrests, tickets and periodic crackdowns, the racers continue to come back for the adrenaline rush.
