Black Fives 44871 & 45407 were in charge of this tour operated by The Railway Touring Company. The train originated in Lancaster and went via Crow Nest Junction to Bolton and Manchester before heading for the Peak District. The video shows the train departing Manchester Victoria and climbing Miles Platting bank followed by shots at Combs and Peak Forest. Thanks to all involved with the operation of the tour.
Great video im a signaller for network rail and really appreciated your camera work, horses running after the train was beautiful, great work ;)

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the video. A lot of people enjoyed the reaction of those horses, it was nice to be able to capture it on video.

Children run to see it, sheep flee for their lives and yet one group of horses felt safe enough to pursue it for another look.

Its strange isn't it Rod to see the reaction from the animals. The horses must have definitely been train enthusiasts!

Fantastic camera work, following the train smoothly and precisely. Never seen so many spooked animals as in the second sequence. Birds, sheep and horses going in all directions. Anyone spot the perfect smoke ring?

Thanks for your very kind comments. I must be really lucky as that was the second smoke ring I've captured this year
