Incubus - Dig - Bass Guitar Cover

My attempt at Dig. Its not exactly acurate, and the video isn't too good either. at least the sound is fine. (done with iMovie, Incubus picture and song are obviously not mine)

Nice...i play bass, but i cant seem to get my fingers to do that picking style. Any pointers?

PRACTICE!!! I use only my index and middle finger (no fancy stuff like the dream theater guy). make sure u balance the tone between the 2 fingers so they sound the same. there are some techniques to playing while switching strings, u can find that online anywhere, even here on youtube. good luck!

i happen to care more about dirk's bass lines, so i pay less attention firguring out ben's bass lines. anyway, its all a matter of opinion. i hope all good bassists out there get to inspire you. good luck

I find it hilarious that you're playing Ben Kenny's best line while in incubus, on a bass that Dirk Lance used to play. Well...a Warwick anyway.

guy below, completley true for some of us. also, you have to want to play the song. youll get no where if you get stuck and too worked up in the technicals of which finger playing which note. plus when you play a song (millions and millions) you cant remember which finger plays what notes instantanteously, so practice. you just have to want to play the song, and feel the beat move your fingers.

Washburn T series... Man, I haven't seen one of those in a LONG time! Great basses, I play Warwick's strictly now, and I have got to say, I miss the old T-24 I used to jam on, great jazz bass.
