  • The reason Canadian architecture is neo-gothic is because that's what the British chose for their parliament buildings. They think it represents honesty.

Americans use Classical architecture because they think it represents the roots of democracy in Greece. I learned about that in art history class. (I'm a nerd.)

  • Not the biggest fan of the conservatives, but Prime Minister Harper seems like a nice guy.

  • @Slushiest0068 you're a fuckin idiot.

  • ..wow and I thought Clinton was a good liar

  • THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE PRIME MINISTER!

  • @Tootoon2009 YOUR MORE RETARDED THAN YOU'RE DICK LICK'N GRANDPA

  • @MichaelForian fuck your dumb man most of the seats are in the east so by the time our votes are counted in the west the the winner of the election has already been decided ya fucktard.spending millions on elections? name and election that he made every election we have had since harper got in has been forced by the liberals NOT harper. LEARN YOUR DAM FACTS!!

  • Obama say one thing and you can bet he will do the exact opposite. Keep on printing dollar President Obama to save Wall Street from the 2011 stock crash

  • When he talks about the security of the people those he speak about the police state in USA coming here too?

  • @Canadianabanana Hes better than the alternatives...

  • @Slushiest0068 ya well u can kiss my ass douchebag

  • @Slushiest0068, that's actually sad. cuz US and Canada and that toilet mexico are improving relationships for the north American union. it will destroy America's independence. vote Ron Paul! lets save the republic!

  • Lol, Canadians always kiss American ass because the USA is so much stronger, better and more influential.

  • @Erivah Mulrooney brought the country together....we all hated him. The liberals spent more time in court than running the country...google it. I will say one thing about jean chretien...(undeniably, with out condition)...He made the smartest, boldest decision to not enter the Iraq war, when sh#t -for-brains-Cheney had everyone "brain-washed".

    Cheers

  • One loser talking of another.

  • Mr. Harper is one of the best prime ministers of this century.

  • Universalradio, you need to brush up on your reading. Please, for accuracy sake, read William Johnston's biography of the prime minister, Stephen Harper and the Future of Canada. In this you will learn that Stephen rarely attends church, and from the beginning was at odds with social conservatives. He believes in the parliamentary tradition that on social issues such as capital punishment, abortion, and the definition of marriage that EACH member of parliament votes according to conscience.

  • It's going to happen - it's just a matter of time. We want a landslide majority win - not a minority.

  • Authoritarian Conservatives who are also religious.

  • Harper is not a true Conservative. He was a Reform Party member - from Alberta - a direct descendant of Bible Belt Ernest Manning's policies, through Preston Manning. Harper advanced by stabbing Preston in the back, then they changed the name to the Alliance Party, which is the name of the church most of them belong to -- the Christian Missionary Alliance Church (Fundamentalist), and then the defunct Cons merged with the Alliance Party -- and Harper got to be leader. He's an impostor.

  • I am not a huge fan of arts funding but... its pennies to the dollar when you compare it to the conservatives $50 Billion a year in corporate tax cuts.

  • Lol, MichaelForian, you're obviously not that familiar with our constitutional democracy because you'd realize it's 100% riding representative and 0% rep by pop which means for Harper to win he'd have to win big outside of Western Canada.

50% of the seats in Ontario and 60% in NB went for the Conservatives, not too mention that redneck territory of Nunavut. Guess all those Inook on Baffin Island are closet crazy Christian cowboys.

Why don't you find somewhere else to post your bigoted remarks

  • As far as debt to GDP ratio...I really belive there are those who need a "hand up. A stimulas...if you will. I've had my own "Katrina".

    But, our wasteful spending/ "pork"...the "arts" (and I'm a musician)...culture this or that...just watch on T.V. the Gov. commercials...the made-in- canada "do-gooder" programs. It's a growth industry and it's breaking us....taxes.

    All the best
