OMA
The thing I'll miss the most is her beautiful smile,
The way she held me when saying hello,
The poetry she wrote
The winters in Belleayre
The times we all shared
The love
The love
The love
Oma had a light that radiated beyond her smile,
Beyond her silver hair
Beyond her embrace
Beyond one poem can describe,
She was indescribable, because no one else I know embodies this kind of love,
The kind of love that was there for you with a whisper goodnight.
With her magic touch that swirled around your ears,
Calming your pounding heart into a deep rest,
Knowing there was, is, and always will be, an Oma, our Oma, there for us,
She always will be
Two Birds fly high in the sky now,
Two Nestle their bodies in the open sea,
The Oma who just left us all,
Was welcomed by our dear Poppy,
A pair can mean a lot of things,
But none are ever as clear,
As the couple Jack and Anne,
A love so tremendously sincere,
They'll fly together into the sky,
Chirping to the sun their endless love,
Devotion in heaven now,
The dreamtime up above,
So water may fall with her last heartbeat,
And a Mourning Mist may appear,
But in the end our Oma was always so sincere.
She held strong to the end of time,
With which she was surrounded by three,
Loving children holding each other up,
The educators of Bravery,
And twirling swirling dreams will come to us all,
In memory of our dear friend,
With silver hair and a perfect smile,
Our dearest Oma's legacy will never end...
With love always,

I just wanted to say this was a beautiful piece of cinematography coupled with a beautiful piece of music. I write music for a living but have just begun to experiment with video too. I was wondering, what camera did you use for this? I picked up a Canon XL2 and am loving it although still learning and have a long way to go.
Thanks.

Dear Reuben,
This film was shot on 16mm with the Aaton XTR Prod. I shot it on my birthday, which funny enough, I will be celebrating again in 3 1/2 hours from now. It's interesting that you comment on this video today, the day before my birthday...
Perhaps it is a sign...
