Deputy PM sworn in

Acting Prime Minister, Castries East MP, and Philip J. Pierre is now Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport. He was sworn into office on Friday as the first member of cabinet of the new Dr. Kenny Anthony administration. He will stand in for the next two days for Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony who is attending a regional meeting in Venezuela on integration of the Caribbean and Latin America.
Pierre will deputize as the government leader for the weekend but his main task is rebuilding the country's infrastructure which was left in shambles by the wrath of Hurricane Tomas more than year ago.
