2lbs is great! Keep it up just a few minutes of walking a day and ad a few minutes every day , I know it's SUPERRR HARD to change the way u eat' we can do it
I don't know if you come online anymore. Or where your goals have taken you, but I felt the need to say something.
Also, get pre-portioned foods to snack on. They make restricting food MUCH easier. Some pre-portioned foods are: Light Fruit Cups, 100 Cal. snacks (But I urge fruits and veggies mostly!) there are fresh packs of pre-cut packaged and proportioned fruits. Look in the freezer thing in the middle of the produce section. Hope this helps, good Luck to all! And sorry for all the posts!
The first week I ATE half of what I normally did...lol. No, truly the eating less part is effortless. This coming from a girl who HAD to have breakfast lunch and dinner. If I didn't get those I would be one unhappy girl. Short temper and nascious hunger pains. But not with this.
My first day on the medicine was heaven. You could be lucky. Your side effects could match my first day: Euphoria and ENDLESS HEAPS of energy.
AFTER my first day it was torture. REALLY dry mouth, an AWFUL taste I couldn't brush or Listerine away! But it was a blessing in disguise: I was constantly drinking water to try to quench my dry mouth, or rinsing that darned taste out! It never worked, but it helped. The constant water kept me full, which helped what the pill was already doing greatly.
No, don't mean money. The medicine was cheap even without insurance covering it (Because most won't!). About $30-something dollars without insurance. And with the amount I'm eating on this pill vs. what I used to eat? Psh, I've got some to spare, even with feeding hubby's evil snack attacks. (Darn him for being so genetically lucky...men in his family are all naturally skinny, NO MATTER WHAT).
No, the price you pay is in side-effects of the medicine...and there are a lot to choose from.
I truly can't tell you how shocked I am. It took me absolutely no effort other than keeping healthy low calorie foods at hand (and choosing THEM over my husband's snack cakes xD).
The first week I hate half of what I normally did, the week after that? Less. The week after that? Less. There were times when I would have to REMEMBER "Oh hey, I should probably eat SOMETHING today! I still need actual nutrients and vitamins after all!"
But as with all good things, there was a price to pay.
My doctor insisted before I started that I come in monthly to determine if I still need the medicine. Feeling hopeful about his urgent insistance, I agreed.
Phentermine is an appetite suppressant. I know, me too. My relationship with food was too strong to be broken or pushed aside by any pill. Boy was I wrong?
So, to re-cap: I did nothing I didn't FEEL like doing! No over-the-top exercise, if any, no stressful diet plans. Eat healthy, move around a bit more. I lost 13lbs in one month.
Gaining weight on top of what I had through pregnancy was a scary thought for me. Especially since it was so incredibly hard for me to lose what little extra I had! Again, I was working out, in a gym, for SEVERAL hours a day eating VERY few calories. I did that for 2 months and lost a total of 8lbs...yay.
I've been on Phentermine for 1 month now. I vowed before I started that I would not do anything substantially different and certainly not weigh myself. Eat healthy, move around a bit, sure.
It's called Phentermine, and I take the 37.5mg dosing. You can only get it with a doctor's prescription...and I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to just hand it out to whoever? More than 10lbs girls!
Anyway, I was 30lbs heavier than my height's healthy weight. That's all I'm concerned about. I want to start a family soon, but I did NOT want to do it being even the most littlest bit of unhealthy.
So all those "miracle" things and diets and exercises that I'd SERIOUSLY tried never worked. When he told me to go to the doctor I was merely doing so to humor him.
There were 3 prescription choices. 1 was like Alli, but I've already said that over-the-counter stuff wasn't going to fool me so I declined. I can't remember what the other one was? But the last one, and according to my doctor and my husband, the most potent one, has worked MIRACLES for me.
