West Papua Bintang Kejora at Papua Presidium Council 2007

The west Papuan freedom flag "Bintang Kejora" was raised at the Papua Presidium Council (Dewan Adat Papua) annual meeting
in the GOR (Gedung Olah Raga)building in Jayapura July 3 2007.

The dance group Sampari from Manokwari
performed this dance.

Naturally, the indonesian police started a massive investigation following the event to discover
the motivation of the flagraising.
It is interesting that this is happening under free speach and
democracy. But this is Indonesia,
and this is repressed West Papua,
so its no suprise.
