@nicotinefist Its the chemical composition of the earth and its differentiated structure. The numbers within the circles represent the different chemical elements according to atomic number. The fractions represent the percentages of each element in each layer. Aliens migh identify the circles as Earth due to the fact that the size and mass are in the picture (as they were explained in previous images). Also, aliens might recognize the numbers within the circles as elements, as explained before.
-
@nicotinefist At 1:27 is an instruction for aliens on how to destroy the Earth.

cool

I can imagine what the alien race thinks... "WHAT THE FUCK"
-
can someone explain to me what is shown at 1:27?
-
aliens are probably lol-ing at how basic our technology is

It's so great to see that Bach as a composer is considered the voice of humanity and an audiovisual image of humanity would never be complete without his music.
A Biologist involved in the golden record project answered the question which message humanity should send to other civilizations that he would send the complete works of Bach.
...Felicidades!! Es un Increible trabajo!! :)

Gracias! Estas fotos muestran quienes somos, como especie. Yo solo las puse en YouTube, pero ciertamente fue un fabuloso trabajo de quienes lo hicieron.

What is this from? A Warner Bros. DVD?

I recently run into this material from the companion CD to the book Murmurs of Earth.
These are the pictures and 2 of the many audio tracks sent to space in the Voyagers. The pictures are amazing and I believe viewers should pause the video and look at each one carefully to realize their value.

thanks for the upload. whats with the copyright watermark @2:45?

This is the actual material; whoever took that picture must have wanted that watermark. In the CD there is also one 'blank' picture. The owner of the picture, if I remember correctly, did not allow them to put the picture in the CD. So, while the picture went to the stars, there was only a placemark in the CD. I just skipped it.
