my understanding of Habeas Corpus is Magna Carta brought society from the dark ages into the middle ages ending people being thrown in dungeons without casue, and The Writ of Habeas Corpus brought us into the civilized realm where we were able to have the right of knowing the charges and our day in court.
To me, President Bush and Obama have acted as Tryants with their contempt of Habeas Corpus.
Without it, we have no rights!
