Rod, just learning to play an alto sax after many years of guitar/vocals/harmonica (and a little clarinet in jr. high). I'm loving it and your style of playing is exactly what I'm shooting for, so your videos are very inspirational. Thanks!
I know there are some wrong notes and not my best playing. This was done some time ago and I plan to re do this song soon. It was also kind of choppy along the way, sorry if I offended anyone. I will only get better until I give it up all together.
Hello... nice to hear you playing "Garota de Ipanema". Just take care: 1:11 you hit a wrong note. If you are playing in G concert (E to the alto sax), the chord at that point is D7(b9, #4) and the note in melody is the #4, I mean g# (F natural to alto). Same in 2:08.
Great feeling through the horn! Good job!

no hay malas notas, solo hace falta atacar algunas notas porque se escuchan debiles, saludos!

@deadneutral The way Tom Jobim composed and his choice of notes is the better for that part, you bet.
