Yasuo Kanematsu is responsible for collaboration and international partnerships at the Osaka University. "Though, a lot of Japan based companies say thei are keen to embrace open innovation, in reality, they are not", does he say.
There is still some reluctancy from some Japanese companies toward the opening up of the "holly" innovation department. It is unfortunate, regrets Yasuo Kanematsu, because Japanese companies can't innovate alone anymore...
