I did reply to this but it got lost somewhere.
I'm half guessing here..others would know better..
Compressed air. An electric motor operates bellows which blow air into the organ pipes and into tubes to operate drumsticks and hammers. The moving parts on the figures work the same way [using flaps and possibly return springs] or they could be mechanically linked to something else operated by compressed air
