the song is called "I Can Fly", by Nud'Apples. Its a Korean Band.

this was a good tactic for the entertainment company.

this year there was a severe shortage of movies that showed korean national pride, imo, and this movie filled that emptiness.

of course, i have no idea whether or not this movie actually did well, but it looks great from what i've seen so far.

if only i could watch it online.

this movie did well actually and recieved good critics.

Sure it used the fact that patriotic movies are popular in korea nowadays. but it is not the core of the movie.

@blahblabahl yeah in fact, you get a piece of the American of Korean descent side of the story. It shows a bit of how he does NOT want to go with so-called "national duty" of prideful Koreans, cuz Korea never cared for him, discarded him, and then dares say its his national duty to help. That's a slight jab to the bravado-motivated jingoistic nationalism the most young Koreans are in. It shows how we're going the opposite way of globalization; we haven't grown as a member of this planet at all.

@CrabTastingMan interesting point. I have worked on that movie for 8 months, and what I have learned about Korean patriotism, that also shows in the film, is that it is a weird mix of a minority complex with a strong national pathos. Which is not a healthy mix. I think until Korea finds it's true identity we will still see patriotic films like that.

this movie gave me chills. it is a feel-good movie but very emotional as well. and it helps that Hajungwoo embodies everything that is sexy in the world
