@BattleBits I think you are massively confused as to what you are trying to argue. See you, in one comment, say that you're an atheist and yet in another you claim to be a theistic evolutionist, you can't be both. Next you try to make the case that existential and scientific evidence have a place in the same breath, which they don't. Now, I'm going to write this massive comment spree off as the mad ramblings of a confused individual whose reasoning is as poor as his spelling.

...and, I personally am TE not because I'm lazy and feel the need to compromise. I have personally worked hard, dug deep, and sacrificed all I knew to be true in order to make sense both of my past experience as a Christian and my passion for science. I abandoned of my safty zones and allowed my faith structures to be shaken to the core. Your statements are broad, loose, naive and presumptuous. Sorry but loose lips...

@BattleBits Also, your claim that theistic evolutionists, at least in your case have "worked hard, dug deep and sacrificed a lot" can't in anyway have anything to do with beliefs, considering they are just that, so unless you're actively fighting people on the front lines about beliefs, which would be a waste of your time but based on your consistent commenting I wouldn't be pressed to believe. @iopunderstealth Also, I would like to point out that atheists have to come to terms with the idea that when you die, that's it! So, if you want to talk about sacrificing, look no further. But this is a sacrifice you haven't made, and hence you have no grounds with which to tell anyone about how much you have "sacrificed", at least pertaining to belief.

@BattleBits And you do understand how little you seem to understand how much you're contradicting yourself by saying you "worked hard" and "dug deep", I mean is there a body of work that I don't see? We're talking about a statement of belief, and while I can understand that there is a leap involved in transition, this isn't like running a marathon and you're not going to get credit for simply using your mind enough to figure out that Christianity is bullshit.

I don't like the word devolving because it implies that it is a inferior state. Devolving means returning to a previous genetic state or evolving traits of the same species that existed before. So that would mean that the same genes would have to mutate or turn off and on. It means returning to a previous state. Evolution is an observation, it just is. Whatever works works and will work.

@BattleBits Its a unified theory for something that needs no unity, there is no need for two explanations when one does it just fine. There is a consistent theme here. The more science explains, the less religion does, it's constantly losing ground to the scientific method. It is very apparent that this debate with you is fruitless for the both of us because you cannot even comprehend what an atheist is considering that you refer to yourself as one and then call yourself a theistic evolutionist
