@TENBolt Prayer is what all us christians are called to do. Recently a friend at school asked me to help her with some problems she was having at home. I told her I would love to help her but I was too busy because I was going to the Students for Christ prayer meeting. She asked 'what do you do at that prayer meeting'. So stupid. Non believers have no idea. I was like 'praying for people who need help!'.. I wish these people with needs would just understand they can not get in the way of prayer

@kleenexz Michael has moved on? That is such great news!!! What what is he doing these days? Pastoring a church? Writing more music? Does he have a new illness? I'm so glad he has moved on! what are the details that you have?
-
'pray for Michael' what the fuck is that going to do?

@pattso92 Oh.. so christians are doomed to sin?
what's the point then?
I thought the Christian life was one of grace, awesomeness and victory! That's what they say at altar calls. But the truth is: don't worry.. even if you do become a christian you won't be any better off.. you'll be doomed to sin anyway..

@Freethinking2010 You can also google plane crashes. Yes there are plenty of them. But that doesn't mean we scream in fear every time we board an airplane (for most of us at least) Have there been plenty of plane crashes? Yes. Does that mean they happen very often? No

@pattso92 Apart from some doctrinal and non-doctrinal differences, they are pretty much the same thing. Take 'christian' to mean " follower of christ" and that broadly gets you all under the christian umbrella. But I guess , strictly speaking, I stand corrected and you are right to point out the differences between catholics and other christians such as the Protestants - superstitious differences which led to years of violence, death and terror in Northern Ireland, for example.
-
@Freethinking2010 you know, you seem to put us christians up on a pedestal. yet, we are only human, doomed to sin like the rest of the world
protip: catholics are different to chhristians. trying to compare us side by side is like apples and oranges

Wow. Stunning lack of holding this guy to account there, Mal. It seems your friendship with him is clouding your judgement. He's defrauded hundreds of people out of their hard earned income and you're telling people to keep it quiet and not be bitter. What a sad reflection on your 'leadership'.
-
Do not put your faith in princes. Mega Churches focused upon power are very vulnerable. Because Charismatic churches tend to emphasise the power of praise & miracles, unsurprisingly reaching out for money & centralised, controlling 'heavy shepherding', they are very vulnerable. Leaders WILL be held to account.

Very good teaching...we have to learn to add these dynamics in balance to our lives it is one thing to read and understand Christian morals and principles in our lives and a much higher thing to practice them
I quote: "Keep trusting your christian leaders, there's no reason to do otherwise" - ah, there's the agenda! I guess that proves the point of my post below. Also, to any readers here, I think it is disingenuous to say that failures in christian leadership are rare. Just goodle "christian evangelists scandals" and see if those are only a few names. And that's only the evangelists. I haven't even started on the many catholics caught in abuse scandals, etc. No, sir, you cannot say this is rare.
