How to remove fake anti virus scanners / adware

Im sorry but most of these fake scanner viruses never give you a desktop/start bar shortcut there root kit viruses they hide themselves within your hard drive....

@judoz420 Actually most of these fake scanner viruses DO give you a shortcut on your desktop or somewhere on your system...the only types of files that try to hide themselfs is trojans, malware, RAT's and viruses.

The idea behind this software IS TO MAKE YOU want to buy it. so they make it look legitmate as best they can.

So do not be sorry because you're completely 100% wrong anyway.

Also I show other methods of removal if there is no shortcut.

@muddd001 did you end the process then delete the file?

also try renaming the file after going to it's destination and renaming it, then restart your PC and try deleting the file.

All I did what did the first part on finding the location of the virus, deleted one thing but on more wouldn't delete kept saying it was open in registry editor, then I tried to download memturbo but I got the blue screen and my come restarted and the virus stopped, it was still in but I just deleted that part no problem, but your tip helped thanks a lot!!
