Think New York, late Seventies, uptown girls with long flowing locks, afro frizz or slick up-dos, dancing at Studio 54, and downtown girls, hanging out on the new wave music scene, displaying the beginnings of the influence of punk rock. This is a look where disco meets rock 'n' roll and punk sensibilities; it's good girl hair, gone bad.

For this season, the Seventies revival comes with options: either long, sexy hair, with cascading waves but with a modernising edge of roughened texture and straightened ends or a slick up do, polished and glam.
