Daniel Kurganov was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1986. He grew up in Chicago and started to play violin at age 16, after 10 years playing the piano. Daniel is currently a Masters-Diploma student at the Zurich Conservatory (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) in the class of Rudolf Koelman.

I remember hearing a live performance of the great Henrik Szering in the 1970's playing this piece. I remembered this amazing experience after hearing mr. Kurganov's wonderful performance.
