the best song to come out of the Jim Kerr stables in years, both the electro and simple minds versions of broken glass park are superb

Brilliant video to a great tune well done

I can just see young Jim and Charlie through these lyrics and music....such innocence and enthusiasm captured in one song. I love it! :)

In fact it will be released in 2011 on the forthcoming Simple Minds compilation album...

This track sounds so much like Simple Mind's "New Gold Dream" era stuff. Can't wait for it to appear on the new album in 2012...

I love this track! Yeah, the sounds not brilliant and for whatever faults there may or may not be... thank you for posting this. Jim Kerr is the man! Just waiting, waiting, waiting for those Lostboy! dates to be announced...

Also, the fact that they are re-recording "In Every Heaven" (originally recorded in 1982 for the New Gold Dream album but was discarded in the end) and releasing it as an 8-minute version as part of their 2011 compilation (Greatest Hits?) fills me with great joy. The original song is fantastic. I just hope the new version retains the funky bass, hypnotic synths and great lyrics.

This track is apparently going to appear on Simple Mind's new album in 2012. And I have to say, as a huge fan of the "New Gold Dream" album but as someone who hasn't liked any of their post-80s stuff, it's very exciting to hear this track. It definitely sounds like something off "New Gold Dream", especially the synths which sound very similar to the ones used on "Someone, Somewhere, in Summertime".
Hoping that like Duran Duran, their new stuff might be a return to roots homage to their past

This song is very very good....needs a little bit of a louder voice to hear the words but good and steady
Great video what camera did you use to record this?

@kitkatCSR Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7. Awesome digital camera that also records HD video. Best of all, the mics can handle concert level volume without distorting.
