  • This doesn't look like Gorillaz at all really. Gorillaz have the luxury of pumping endless amounts of money into lavish 3D computer animation and stuff. The rawness of this video here reminds the MTV gengeration that this is a genunine slice of the breakbeat club scene, not another buy-my-ringtone, radio friendly outing that's designed for commercial success. I'm not attacking Gorillaz for that, it's just that this is born out of quite a different side of the music industry.

  • Thanks man that's the best comment. Everyone thinks it's a rip off of over stuff but it's not like that. You hit the nail on the head.

  • Pretty good video and song. I like the 1984 theme going on. When was this from?

  • i just finished it in june 2006

  • That singer looks like Russel from Gorillaz(barely), but thats not him. I thought this was Gorillaz. Like the guys who sing Feel Good INC. if you know thems.

  • yeah it does a bit, its not meant to be the gorillaz, its just the way i draw my characters. gorillaz have always been inspiration to me but its not what i was aiming for. what do you think of the animation anyway?

  • the prodigy deisel power sounds like this

  • 4/5 stars..

    tune seems quality

    production quality seems avaerage

    video - cool

  • Excellent video

  • oh haha i see what happened there, you're right, he sounds nothing like that prodigy, there's also a massive UK breakbeat group called The Prodigy who make tunes comparable to the production on this. Word though, Mobb Deep are heavy too, especially when they were back on that 'Infamous' '94 ish tip. Always a damn depressing interpretation of NY life tho, they were straight dark on some of those joints.

  • i assume theres another Prodigy thats not from Mobb Deep

  • have you heard the word breakbeat before?

  • Right. Bitches don't know about my Dr. Octagonecologist.
