now a diebetic diet is in REVERESE,,they want you to have high fiber and to have roughage and they want you to watch your carbohyrates popcorn and nuts would be a good snack,,if I stay away from the high colories I will loose weight I dont absorb a fourth of what I take in,,because of my Illistomey which means I have no large instine and part of my small instine removed as well ,,my dietician throws her arms in the air ,,SO what diet do I go by,both diets are in reverse
I need to ask a question to ANY who can answer I have dibetis I was told that in 2009 now in 1982 I was told I had chronze disease,,,I had to have surgery in 1990,,live with an Illistomy now,,SO heres the question what type of diet do I follow,,a dibetic diet is in REVERSE,,,from what my ostomy is sosposed to be,,I cant have the roughage, I cant be eating high fiber,,have to stay away from popcorn and peanuts ,,cant eat stuff with skin on it ,,and need the extra calories,,
nah!!!!!!!!!!...just take some drugs and eat whatever you want....the doctors need that freebie trip to Acapulco next winter for shelling out Metformin like their Pez candy.
Reading your posts on this subject, you sound like an over educated know nothing. Talk to a lot of successfull low carber's, they would laugh their heads off at the idea of a low carb, low fat diet, hilarious. Real recipe for feeling like crap. Oh, sorry, you are the expert.
Excellent advice for any Type 2 such as myself. My HbA1c has reduced from 9.4% to 5.1% by reducing the amont of starchy carbohydrate that I eat - i.e. cereals, bread, potatoes, pasta, pizza etc. After being diabetic for more than nine years, My blood glucose levels now run at non-diabetic levels.
