The reading of the indictment of the Ergenekon law case has almost been finished. The unusual conversations that took place between the suspects and the judges, and the requests of the suspects' lawyers drew much attention.

The Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court heard the case in a makeshift courtroom inside Silivri Prison complex. Of the 44 detainees, retired General Veli Kucuk and the chairman of the Workers' Party Dogu Perincek and other suspects who are not under arrest such as the former president of Istanbul University Kemal Alemdaroglu, Ali Yasak, Guler Komurcu were in attendance at the courtroom.

The morning session, which started at 09:30, suspect Kemal Kerincsiz, who is also a lawyer was charged with supplying legal services to the Ergenekon terror organization. He was also accused of insulting the judicial organs and creating chaos through ethnic separatism in his protests to stage foundation for a coup against the current the ruling AK Party. Kerincsiz sat silent while listening to the indictment of the part which is based on his actions.

The part of Hayrettin Ertekin who was accused of being the media planner of the Ergenekon terror organization took one and a half hours. It was said that Ertekin and Sedat Peker, who is also a gang leader, were involved together in crimes. The manager of a TV channel established by the Ergenekon was being run by Hayrettin Ertekin who was assigned to control the media, which was proved by the telephone calls of Ertekin.

Also in the indictment it was said Yasin Hayal's lawyer Fuat Turgut, who is one of the suspects not under arrest, was the intervener in the law suits opened against Nobel winning author Orhan Pamuk and famous woman writer Elif Safak. Yasin Hayal was the perpetrator of the murder of the Armenian Turkish Journalist Hrant Dink.
