In corridors of air the clouds were waiting there
They knew that never again the skies would be so blue
They took away the sun and with it took the fun
It's true, and now there is really nothing I can do
So I look outside my window at the sheets of pouring rain
And I wonder if the sun will come again

But the sun will never shine the way it used to do
The clouds won't let it through
Oh the sun will never shine its smile for me and you
The clouds won't let it through

It wasn't long ago the people that I know were glad
And nothing they ever thought about was sad
But since the sun has gone their laughing times are none
That's bad, to make them forget the happy times they've had
So they look outside their window at the sheets of pouring rain
And they wonder if the sun will come again

But the sun will never shine the way it used to do
The clouds won't let it through
Oh the sun will never shine its smile for me and you
The clouds won't let it through

  • The early work of this band was so good. How they never enjoyed success in their homeland the UK is a mystery.

  • A true mystery it is. What a marvellous band!

  • great music and voice...

  • I think so too.

    Glad you liked it.

  • Wonderful band! fantastic!

  • Great song!

  • "Whatever they are, they are not common" J.Conrad

  • They were overlooked in the Uk when they started late 60s early 70s

  • polydor years were good for the most part

  • @sproutyDP - don't agree - Gone to Earth was a great album

  • @punditpete also I seem to remember nights in white satin was held off the top slot by rolf 2 little boys so what chance had genuine music

  • @punditpete you have to imagine disc jockeys like Tony Blackburn etc who openly hated progressive rock and played dummed down pap to the masses on radio 1 putting such as Picketywitch and other such purile nice guy pop music first. The frustration by fans of BJH,King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Moodies and so on and so on was not seen by the radio producers only people like John Peel and Bob Harris carried the banner for real music so BJH who were, like many other good bands without a hit single.

  • The voice is not there anymore....Woolly what a life line.

  • So I look outside my window at the sheets of pouring rain

And I wonder if the sun will come again

It wasn't long ago the person that I am was glad
