Steve Mann, the guitarist, ended up in McAuley Schenker Group and then Andy Scott's Sweet. Drummer, Clive Brooks was from Groundhogs.
Musicians: Liar - Set The World On Fire
Dave Burton
Dave Taylor
Steve Mann
Clive Brooks
Paul Travis
Produced by John Alcock for Delta Productions
STEVE MANN: "After replying to an ad in the Melody Maker in February 1977 I joined Liar. This was a 5-piece signed to Decca with Dave Burton on vocals, Paul Travis on rhythm guitar, Dave Taylor (ex Edison Lighthouse) on bass, Clive Brooks (ex Groundhogs) on drums and myself on lead guitar.
After a UK support tour with Slade, Liar toured Yugoslavia, Hungary and the UK promoting their album "Straight From The Hip" which had been recorded before I joined (with Geoff Whitehorn guesting on guitar), however my name and photo still appeared on the album.
We then recorded a new album in The Who's Ramport Studios in Battersea called "Set The World On Fire", produced by John Alcock (who produced Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak and Live and Dangerous) and engineered by Will Reid-Dick who had worked with Alcock on several previous records."

In response to zzzhazz, as I posted on one of the 'track' Liar were probably the '70's best kept secret!! I have Set the world on fire as a picture disc and black vinyl two of most prized records.
