I suppose if you don't need them then there's no need to buy them. Sort of like cars, or Slayer albums, if you don't need them don't buy them.

Personally, I feel more comfortable in my own household knowing I have some legitimate self-defense. Plinking and target shooting are great pastimes and a good stress reducer. I also put food on my plate rather efficiently by hunting within the limits of the law.

Gun control?

Would it make you people feel any better if they were pushed out of windows? What if they were stabbed in the neck? Perhaps beat with a baseball bat?

Gun control won't reduce crimes. Responsible gun owners will suffer, while criminals will still get whatever firearm they choose via the black market, while victims die an inevitible death via the criminal no matter what option of terrorism he/she chooses, even if it's a knife.
