@natiscakes My bad, as I said to the other person, I had not meant to sound sarcastic! the internet is unforgiving! Your cake is amazing, I have just seen many videos where the cakes are frozen, however I am not accustomed to mudcakes. Sorry I seem to have offended the world :(

@slsrox1298 That is very true, mudcakes are like rocks when frozen. I did freeze these cakes, but only because I was working full time at the time, and I needed to start baking well before the cake was due. The cakes were completely thawed out when i carved them.

@tozzilil the cakes are not frozen when they are carved. I only froze them to allow me more time to bake, but the cakes were thawed when carved :)

@slsrox1298 there was the center dowel and then each cake had it's own dowels to support the weight of the one above it, just like any other tiered cake.

@tozzilil And, just for your info, if it was frozen she wouldn't have been able to carve it so easily and with so many crumbs. She probably chilled it,which is different, but frozen mudcakes are like rocks.
