What a georgeous piece of piano work by this tremendous foursome, Jack & Chris Bradshaw, Nan Bostick & Shirley Case.
The song is Irene Giblin's "Chicken Chowder."
The performance was at an afternoon concert in Columbia, Missouri that was hosted by the BLIND BOONE RAGTIME & EARLY JAZZ FESTIVAL.
It was a great festival!
I WISH YOU COULD HAVE BEEN THERE!

  • Lesson learned viewing this tape - thanks Tom. Lesson being: Old ladies should always remember to smile while performing!

Nan Bostick (the one wearing red with the grumpy face)

  • Nan,

You didn't look grumpy, you looked focused!

We sure missed you this year!

    BEST RAGards,

    Tom

  • Shirley is my piano teacher from 18 years ago! SO great to see she's still going at it!

  • Yup, she is still going at it and plays beautifully.

  • Truely my all time favorite rag. They did such a great job with this. I love it.

I agree with the loving it part, but I think it sounds just fine without JoAnn Castle. She's a wonderful pianist who made the Lawrence Welk Show so much better, but I think it siunds fine without her. :)

No offense to Ms. Castle meant.

  • ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I LOVE piano ensembles!!! All of them, Nan, Shirley, Chris, and Jack are some of the best pianists there are!!! I wonder what would happen if you threw JoAnn Castle into the equation.

  • Thanks for watching!
