War hawk admits Iraq was about imperialism, not WMD

Today on Hardball with Chris Matthews, Iraq war hawk and former soldier Mark Finelli admits that Bush's invasion of Iraq was a deliberate act of imperialism to provide a location in order to locate US soldiers in the region justified by a Saudi threat to kick out America's 20,000 troops.

He cited the book "America's Secret War" as for more reading on the subject.

The invasion of Iraq was not a victory. The American government should compensate Iraqi citizens for going into Iraq due to bogus CIA reports. Now all that remains there are gravestones, a pulverized infrastructure and great political instability that has set the Iraqi people back generations. What is the US doing to rebuild the infrastructure of Iraq? Talk is cheap, Obama, show the Iraqis the money .

The US is the main ally of Saudi Arabia, was the ally of Islam in the cold war and the US has also supported the muslims of Bosnia and stands for the independence of Kosovo (including the 100% serb part republica srbska).

In the conflict between orthodox Christians and Muslims, the side of the US is clear.

@annaknowsu i dont remember muslims hating america in 1900-1960 period, in fact they were good with americans, the real hatred u r seeing today is a result of the US expansion into the middle east, not necessarily the invasions, but all the US bases in what muslims consider to be HOLY LAND, how woudl u feel if muslims had military bases all across the US, according to ur logic non-muslims are hated amongst muslims, so then tell me why are chinese, japanese, etc, etc, not hated by muslims?
