Oh My gosh the stunts are crazy.
I wish we could-do things like this now a days.
but any thing that looks even just a little difficult is called for an illegal stunt.

you know i think its partly because of all the rules & restrictions (same thing) but all of them dont allow the present day teams to do these awesome stunts because of danger and height and all that...it would be so cool to have more innovative and slightly riskier stunts

The stunts are awesome, but not crazy. All these skills can be safely learned and mastered. The Cheer groups, however, don't care about the stunts, only the money, so it is easier to ban stunts than to teach them.

You are absolutely right. The restrictions were applied because of the high number of catastrophic injuries that have occurred. The different groups running competitions faced higher insurance rates, so they chose to save money by eliminating the skills. The answer is to draft an developmental program that progressively teaches stunts for age group and level competitions like the USAG program.
