In which tableau d'hôte theatre co-founder vlogs from kansas and asks a lot of questions about the nature of creating in areas that aren't quite montréal, and also brings up an exciting new project.

  • Hmm...not living in big city. It sucks. I now live in a bigger place than where I grew up but I plan on moving to a bigger city when I'm done school. I don't understand people who don't understand why someone would want something beyond the small town life. Re: communities: I believe that communities don't need to be regionally defined. In my mind it's any group of people with a tying bond or similar goals and interests who work together or collaborate in some way.

Love your videos as always :)

  • whoa. clive. fancy seeing your comment here... random.

  • I think you can win whatever you do. If you want to do something creative and need an audience you can just make one or find one. As easy as that.

  • Well, as a person who grew up in a rural area, I put forth that quite often the idea of changing the community does not even occur until one has left the community and seen what lies beyond it.

"What is a community?" I think a community is a group of people who, if they don't always work together, will at least interact towards some common good. Whether that good is keeping their small town alive, or a struggling arts scene, the idea of there being some common goal is important, I think.
