I used a 6.5mm hook to learn and to practice, for me bigger is better... I shouldn't have tried this at 3am though lolol... I actually started my chain w/22 and then went into the 3rd chain and it came out after several failed tried at 20 chain... I think because a double stitch I find chain two at the start works... it's madeningly difficult to explain, BUT I DID IT and it looks awesome! Thanks for your tutorial!

I'm actually using a medium Lion Brand wool/acrylic yarn with a size 6 hook. Do I have to add more stitches since both my yarn a hook are smaller than yours?

OMG I seriously thought this would be so hard! I can't believe how easy this look after watching you do it. Don't get me wrong, this is a really informative tutorial, but my God is it repetitive! I skipped ahead a good 23 minutes because it's just you repeating the pattern over and over again! Thanks for the very good explanation of the stitch though.

It started out with row one then it suddenly jumps to where you have a handful of stitches? I got completely lost. I've crocheting for 2 years but this stitch is giving me a really hard time. This is the 4th or 5th tutorial I've tried. :-(
