I didn't want to eat canned soup *again* the other night, so I thought I'd try to make a pizza with whatever I had around in the kitchen..... o0 I sort of didn't have enough sauce...but yea....it was just for fun--I'm not a chef or anything...hehe! ^^

BTW, this video is kinda silly and dumb...so yea....fair warning! lol xD

(:

Recipe for the crust (if anyone wants it):

[1 envelope] OR [1 cake] OR [6 oz] OR [2.5 tsp] of Active Dry Yeast
1 cup of warm water (100-110 degrees Fahrenheit)
2 cups of flour (plus an extra 0.5 to 1 cup of flour)
0.25 cups parmesan cheese
1 tsp sugar
0.25 to 0.5 tsp salt
2 tbsp vegetable oil (or olive oil if you want to be a bit more fancy...)

Extra stuff that I didn't have at the time:
2 tbsp of cornmeal
1 extra tbsp of Parmesan cheese

Soften yeast in the 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Try adding a tad of sugar to get it going if it looks like it's not working...

In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, Parmesan cheese, salt, sugar, and oil. Add yeast mixture. Mix and add enough of the extra flour to form a soft dough. It shouldn't be a sticky dough--but a soft workable dough. Knead about 20 times, cover, and let the dough rest for about 5 minutes or so (or longer...the longer you let it rise, the better it's supposed to taste, but to me it really doesn't make a huge difference....so..yea... 5 minutes works just fine...lol...).

Grease the pizza pan.

Extra stuff part that wasn't in the video:
Mix about 2 tablespoons of cornmeal and 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese together and sprinkle on the bottom of your greased pizza pan for a bit of added texture to the crust.

Spread dough on pan, prick with a fork to prevent large air bubbles forming, and add your sauce and toppings

Bake in a 425 degrees Fahrenheit oven for about 15-20 minutes.

It's definitely not New York pizza...just homemade pizza....Simple pizza! ^^

  • @gettingpissedoff Ketchup! That's an amazing idea to add a little more sauce. I will remember that idea for the future. Thank you! ^^ Tomato paste is also a nice idea. A while ago I made up a sauce recipe that uses a can of tomato paste, but I usually never have the tomato paste around to make it..... :/

I've never been to Sobey's Deli Pizza before, but I've had Ceaser's. Next time I see a Sobey's I'll try their pizza. =)

  • @alaiayliz If you ever feel like making it again here's a little note: If you have a sobeys where you live and have had their deli pizza before you'd notice they don't use a whole more sauce than you did. If you're short a bit on sauce you could use ketchup for the difference or tomateo paste if you're worried about the consistancy of the sauce. If you haven't tried sobey's deli pizza, i highly recomend it. The only take out better is ceaser's but theirs is cheaper than ceaser's

  • @sakurachan159 hehe! Thanks! ^___^ I didn't know that people would watch the whole thing...lol! xD
