@RuflessRecords No I didn't miss 2008 when the entire financial system collapsed. I just know that derivatives and Credit Default Swaps were the major reason for too big to fail. We had a mortgage meltdown in the 80s because of the same ARMs that caused trouble this time but last time it did not take down the whole system.

"if there was so much trouble with them" did you miss 2008?

There's no context that changes these stupidly pro-Fannie loose lending rants into criticism which was the only correct position in 2004-05, in hindsight. This is why you could not produce any.

It's a shame the media does not do their job, we need a 50/50 media, evenly split ideologically, and it's a shame Republicans suck at using ammo like this when it's put in the shotgun for them.

@1ectoplasm You blame the democrats for unions and puppet masters and Democrats blame You for supporting a false free market Idea because your big business buddies love the payoffs and the ripoffs just as much as any union leader or puppet master. All the same so lets blame all the poor people that is the easy out.

@RuflessRecords If there was so much trouble with them then why did Bush and Paulson expand their mission and fund mortgage rescues of the worst toxic mortgages Wall Street would no longer touch? You are right lets keep the time frame and severity of the problem in context. That will then open your eyes to this political game you are watching on this video. Of course I am sure your answer to that is Bush and Paulson are closet Democrats.

john, your statement implies that with the context these idiotic comments from Democrats in the video would not as idiotic. But there's no conceivable context that would change what they say here. They're saying in 2004-05 everything's great at Fannie and Freddie, we don't need to scrutinize their loan-giving policies more, Frank Raines is doing a great job...there's no context you could produce from C-span on these days that would change their praises of disastrous policy into criticism.

@john777316 Actually it was a personal observation after reading about what lil old Andy has been trying to bring about in the world! Power sicko at the realm of SEIU is a stand in puppet master when Soros gets a hand cramp!
