I never understood why Auld Lang Syne was such a well-known song before I heard Dougie sing it. He's the first singer who really made me appreciate Robbie Burns' poetry.

He sounds even better live, fantastic guitar playing and the songs paint pictures that are moving, evocative and full of passion.
If you ever get the chance to see Dougie MacLean live then do it, you won't be disappointed.

Simmo,
still gets me when the audience join in the chorus at the end of Caledonia. I couldn't think of a better theme to a wee slide show I did for my granda's brother.
