This is made me melt. The Iowa All State chorus is going to sing this (just got the audition packet today!) and I hope it sounds half as beautiful as this.

just sang this for our fall concert at my college. we took it a lot slower to allow for clearer cutoffs and more dynamic expression

We performed this piece at honor choir under Dr. Fenton last summer...great director, and an amazing piece of art. Fantastic job.

I just got back from the North Dakota allstate choir disappointed because the festivle was canceled due to a blizzard... But we were going to sing this, we sang it better than they did... And I honestly about cried just hearing this. Our other major song was O fortuna from the carmina burana

The first time I ever heard this piece was at a St. Olaf Choir concert when I was 16, a junior in high school. I remember it pulling at my heart strings from the very first chord until I caught my breath when it ended, like I had seen the face of God. I didn't hear it again until the following year when a college choir came to my high school. But I recognized it as soon as the choir began to sing- and I felt this surge of joy come over me, and I literally cried right there in the chorus room.
