The breakdown of law and order in New Orleans Katrina was like a very terrifying and ominous warning of just how close we are from total anarchy, should a big enough disaster strike...whether it be disease, cataclysm, war, famine, resource depletion, economic collapse.. we seem to be stepping ever closer to the edge & what happened in New Orleans shows what could lie just around the corner if we are not extremely careful.The higher our human civilisation climbs, the more devestating its fall.

This is a prime example of the problem with relying on "tax cuts" as a means of solving big problems. Businesses don't hire people when there's no demand simply because they have a few extra bucks in their pocket.

The mistaken belief that you can revitalize a devastated economy simply by giving tax cuts to big business... FIVE YEARS OF PROOF THAT DOESN'T WORK.
