@r00key I'm not sure why you're telling me this? I'm Dutch too, I don't have a problem with saying Holland when I'm abroad, because I honestly don't care that much but... I'm still not sure why you're telling me this.

I'm Dutch and I live in 'the Netherlands though I do not live in either one of the provinces of "Holland". I hate it when people call my country "Holland". I also dislike the term "the Netherlands" because the Netherlands have been unified as the Kingdom of the Netherlands (a united kingdom of the nether-lands), and since then we call our country "Nederland" which is SINGULAR. So I think the name of our country should be SINGULAR in other languages as well. --> "Netherland"

The quickest way to annoy any Dutch person would be pretending that you know what the quickest way to annoy any Dutch person is. But luckily you didn't ask, and one mustn't generalise.
