There were the Naked Bikers Calendar to Benefit the Baltimore Cat House (a Humane Society project) that raised lots of money and the very popular Naked Ladies Pet Calendar that raised money for the Wayne County Humane Society in Goldsboro, NC. These projects create quite a stir and they always seem to sell out so it's no wonder that other groups have followed their example. The Richmond No Kill Animal Shelter got "twelve high profile Richmond women who posed nude with their pets for a 2010 calendar to benefit the shelter." Like the others, the calendar is tastefully done and I'm betting that it will be a sellout. Likewise the Namibian women bared all for their animal welfare calendar. Typical as is in most of these cases: "What started as a joke, with an ambitious print run of 2,000 copies at 300 Namibian dollars each (£25), became a money-maker in the Christmas shopping fever."
