  • I was two years in Turkey, 1957-1959 and visited Istanbul via Yalova many times...a great place for a midwestern farm kid...my Turkish hunting license has a foto of me from the first week used for the 'red book'...it shows culture shock but how I count my time in Turkey as the most important ever...it is sad that GWBush did not listen to Turkey about his Iraq war but it was his goal to do that....
